However, this lighting design firm in Long Beach, Calif., maximized efficiency through controls, hybrid electrical/daylight systems, and natural ventilation. The former cosmetics manufacturing warehouse now showcases nearly every type of lighting technology. Automated transom and clerestory windows help circulate air, while automated translucent louvers redirect natural light without blocking views. The office is entirely daylit during working hours. All furniture was bought used.
