Szencorp Building: S. Melbourne, Australia

Transparent Performance
Szencorp Building

Szencorp proves it is possible to teach an old building new tricks. In 2005 it renovated a typical four-story office building in Australia, incorporating a mixed mode air-conditioning system, increased natural lighting and the capture and re-use of rain and greywater. Szencorp continuously monitors and adjusts operations to reduce energy and water consumption. As a result, energy and water consumption have dropped every year. It also posts live performance data on its Web site.
